CHICAGO - Pop the champagne and pray in thanksgiving. The Philippine bid to hold the US nursing licensure exam in Manila succeeded. Filipino nurses who wish to work in America no longer must travel abroad, burning hundreds of dollars, just to take the NCLEX (Nursing Council Licensure Examination). PNANORTHTEXAS.ORG was created to allow members and non-members of the Philippine nursing community a way to communicate, collaborate, and develope relationships in the North Texas area. Our website incorporates technologies found on larger community based websites. Our registered users and members of PNA-NT will enjoy the following benefits:

- A muti-topic discussion forum to allow the communication of ideas, events, education, insight, and the formation of community among our peers.

- A "buddy" type system is incorporated into the community tools of this site.
- Register users and members have the ability to upload avatar images for their accounts.
- A private messaging system allows members to send non-public messages to the registered users and members of this site.
- A powerful, fun live chat system is included for registered users and members to communicate freely at any time of the day or night. This chat system allows much customization by the end user.
